If you're curious about it and what I bought there, read until the end of the post okay? <3 Frolic Kitchen Krupuk Bocah Tua Nutrilife Jumble Juice Hao Bird's Nest Hong's Kitchen Ribbon Cakes Sweets O Treats Spoon Me Yoghurt Nachos Tutup merah

BASHA MARKET - HYPER SPACE 2015

Basha Market is one of the most awaited annual bazaar for the past two years, where all entrepreneurs gathered in one place, showing off their creative businesses and let people discover their products. There are over a hundred of inspiring tenants there, and this year, it is limited for online shop only, so if you already have a store, you can't participate (now there's an actual advantage for not having a store, lol)

Basha Market always have its unique theme every year, last year they picked broadway theme and this year, it's Hyper Space. I can see so much effort in the concept, and they also know how to market it with making a photo competition (you can see from the picture above, all the girls are lining up for taking their #outfitofthedaypicture aite?). So, the hard work and the idea were definitely didn't go to waste.

They use the same venue for two years in a row, which is in Convention Center Tunjungan Plaza 5th floor. For the entrance, you don't have to pay anything (it's free), because Lord knows you will spend so much inside, hahaha.. But this is also what makes it annoying, (see picture above) since everyone can come in, so all of them coming in and there was no limitation of capacity inside. I felt like in a modern traditional market; it was crowded, loud, uncomfortable, and less enjoyable.

From over a hundred tenants inside, there were two dominant type of it, the first one was the clothing apparel tenants (for men, women, kids) and the second one was the Food & Beverages tenants. While the rest were from the creative industries that's also interesting to be seen on the market. There were also workshops that you can attend. My fellow foodie friend Fauzi a.k.a @ziiarch was speaking for Food Styling Class (picture below-right) *proud*. But what I'm going to elaborate more in this blog post are the ones that appears so appealing to me. #youknowwhat

Food & Beverage Section
This section supposed to be heaven for me, but nah.. The crowd really makes me dizzy.

There were around 30 to 40 food & beverages stalls in Basha Market this time, and I managed to try ten of them which nine of them I have never tried before. It really excites me! So I will try to review them one by one for you guys, who knows you are interested in trying one of them.. :) But please pardon my awful pictures, due to the very crowded venue, I even had to take some of the pictures at home. Just appreciate my effort, hahaha..

Frolic Kitchen
It's a handcrafted all-natural peanut butter. No added sugar, GMO & preservatives
This is the first stall that catches my eyes. The owner was so generous  in giving me the tester of her products, I tried  all of them but my heart fell over so hard with the black one (I actually also love the chunky one, which is the original taste of peanut butter, but the black won for the uniqueness) It contains peanuts, oreo crumbs, sea salt and salad oil. It is so delicious, especially if you are a peanut butter and oreo lovers (who doesn't?) I made it as a dipping sauce for my Chocolatos snack, or just go with the normal sliced bread, so so so IN LOVE with this!
Rp. 65.000,-
NOTE : They are going to close for a month from April 21st until May 27th, so if you want to make your order, do it NOW!

Nutrilife ID
This is the second stall that I stopped for that day, because I also knew that I was going to need something to drink. I bought a bottle of Jumble Juice from Nutrilife ID. I asked for the most recommended one, then I got the Apple - Carrot - Tomato - Watermelon juice. It's orange-red color, and when I saw the other color were black, green and white, I thought this would be the safest one for me. lol.
Rp. 50.000,-
I'm not a healthy eater or drinker, so this was quite a challenge for me. When I opened the bottle, I could sense the fruity smell of the juice. and when I drank it, I was kind of surprised with the taste. IT WAS GOOD. They said they don't add sugar, but it's already sweet, well not too sweet, but it's enough. I thought it's going to be tasteless and smelly and yucky but I was wrong. *applause!*

When I looked at their Instagram account, then I also knew that they also serve healthy food catering, sell almond milk and the owner is a BSc. Nutritional Sc, Dietetics from UC Berkeley! So if you're looking for a healthier diet and lifestyle, you guys can really trust them. :)

Nachos Tutup Merah
I stumbled upon this one, because they really tried their best to sell by stepping forward to the customers, brought their tester and let people try. The owner are very humble and kind. And to be honest, their tomato dipping sauce pulled me over to their stall and made me buy one. No kidding, when I went to my table and shared it to my fellow foodie friends, they also said, the tomato dipping sauce was tasty! and their little package for the bazaar was quite affordable, only Rp. 20.000,-/pack.

I looked at their very cute stall, and saw those layered cakes on the table, I suddenly reminded about someone who made the best layered cake ever! My grand mother. :) She passed away years ago but the layer cake she made,  it was the best one until this date. I rarely eat layered cakes, but for the sake of good ol times, I bought three of them that day.

Around -+ Rp. 13.000,- / slice

It wasn't bad, but the original still can't defeat my grand mother's, hahaha.. It's nice to have some choices of flavor though. I bought the original, cheese and prune, and when I ate the cheese flavor, I got the crunchy cheesy sensation inside my mouth. A little bit unusual, but yummy :) And too bad the prune was stolen by a prick lizard in my room. I left it on a plate, at the floor, I was on my bed, and when I took a glimpse of the floor, the lizard ate my layered cake!! :((

Lately I've been addicted to yoghurt I don't know why. I keep buying Heavenly Blush's yoghurt drink and also fell in love with Sour Sally's newest Black Sakura yoghurt ice cream. That addiction leads me to try this Spoon Me Yoghurt, (no, actually it was because of their super adorable panda icon, lol kidding) They claimed to be the healthy home made probiotic yoghurt, with also no sugar added. That's why when I tried their tester, it was sour...

Rp. 50.000,- for 3 cups
I bought one package that contains three flavor, original, strawberry and blueberry. The first day, I tried the original plain one, it was nothing special, just sour, but I still managed to finish it. The second day I tried the strawberry flavor, turned out it was not only yoghurt, but I found some strawberries inside too, and it was kind of a little sweet, and I liked it. The third day I tried the blueberry and again I found the berries inside <3 And after I finished it all, I realized, once I spoon, I don't want to stop. :( My digestion is also improved to be better within those days, oh I need moreeee~

Hao Bird's Nest
I knew this healthy drink through some of the bazaar before, but I never get one for myself to try. So I was excited to see it again in Basha Market and finally, I got my chance to try it. Well actually, I tried only through the tester though, because I suddenly remember that my brother was sick and I have read that bird's nest can speed up any recovery treatment.
Rp 60.000,- / bottle but if you buy more = Rp 50.000,- each
The taste of it was not bad at all, just a little bit sweet. But this kind of drink doesn't need to be tasteful, because the thing is, this drink has to be useful, haha.. And to be useful, I have to buy at least 20 of them, which is expensive, but I guess it will be worth it. I'm thinking about buying some packs for my brother, and let's see how it goes for his recovery. :) By the way, it's great to pick this for your sick friends too. They have their 'get well soon' package, and I think It's really sweet. Or for your loved ones who needs it. You can see for yourself the benefit of bird's nest, if I elaborate here, you'll be dead because of boredom, lol..

Hong's kitchen

i Honestly I never heard about this before, but I saw one of my foodie friend, Merli eating it, and it made me want to grab one as well. They actually sell more than one product (see picture above-right), but what makes me drool was the 'firecracker' (mercon) beef rice. I knew I couldn't stand eating too spicy foods, but I took my chance that time.

Rp. 25.000,- / Cup
The spices were so rich and tasteful! And the meat were tender so it was easy for me to cut it even with only plastic spoon. And their chili sauce... It was CRAZY! Yes it was really spicy for me, but I don't mind getting myself all sweaty for this! It was just So So So Yummy!

LAY'S KITCHEN
Rp. 25.000,- / cup
Another kitchen that I tried, and also what I've been craving for right now. #hungryagain #justate #droolmyself. Lay's kitchen sells Se'i Pork from Kupang and the magic really came from that pork meat. It came with a small cup of their special chili sauce but it only taste spicy, oily and also got that strong red onion smell, but the Se'i Pork is what makes me want it more and more. I once tried to stir fry the meat with the chili sauce, and guess what? It tasted even BETTER! <3 Ah.. I'm going to get another!!

Krupuk Bocah Tua
Rp. 25.000,- / pack
Curiosity was the thing that brought me into this stall, because it got so popular on Instragram since they held the photo competition back then. The second thing that brought me there was because it must've been great to eat it with the sapi mercon and babi sei, hahaha.. But turned out, what's inside the pack was the raw crackers, so I had to fried it first at home to eat it, LOL.. I really thought it was a snack pack (ready to eat), but I already tried the tester though, and I liked it.

When I got home and wanted to eat it, what a coincidence my maid also made sambal petis and gorengan. (picture above-right) Woohoo! They are so perfect for my breakfast this morning! And actually, krupuk can be matched with anything, especially for Indonesian food; with sambal, with penyetan, with soto, rawon, indomie, even if you eat it with plain rice, it's already good. So, it's always nice to have one of this at home. :) But don't forget to drink plenty of water too, okay?

If you had seen my side banner on your left side, you must have known this. And my opinion about their cakes is still unshakable. The tastiest macarons, the best red velvet cheese cake, and I'm still keeping their taro cake and banana nutella cake on my fridge, I heard that they kept running out of if on Basha Market. Nuff said? :)

Overall, You won't get bored in Basha Market, it is improving from last year, obviously. The stalls are much better this year and the setting of the booth is also better. The 30 people with invitation who can come first before anyone else is also a GREAT feature. Workshops are also cool! Hopefully you can always keep it up, revise it, and evaluate it so you can do better at the next event. But please also do pay attention with the capacity inside the convention hall. For me, it was too crowded and the people were really testing out my temper. -_-" Hope you can figure something out for the sake of our comfort.
