Lucky Cat Coffee Cafe (Review) | Jakarta Trip

Hey guys!
I just flew to Jakarta this early morning, like VERY early in the morning (my flight was at 05:05 AM). I have some things to take care of in here and I’m going to stay here for a week, I guess. Despite of the things that I have to settle, surely there will be places that I’m going to visit for fun as well. Of course, I will to take you along with me and I will let you guys know about these cool places, so that whenever you’re visiting Jakarta, you can use it as a recommendation.. :)

Lucky Cat Coffee

The first thing that I visit after I arrived in Jakarta is CHURCH, yes CHURCH. Because I arrived at 6.30 AM and I feel so blessed that I got a cheaper price for this flight that landed in Halim Perdana Kusuma. Turns out it’s really close to the church that I want to visit, and it’s also really close to hotel that I’m staying as well! From the airport to Kota Kasablanka, it olnly costed me for IDR 35k with UBER, and from Kota Kasablanka to Lucky Cat Coffee, it only costed me IDR 17k, so cheap right?!

Lucky Cat Coffee is in Kuningan Area, center of Jakarta, precisely in Plaza Festival, and it is open for 24 HOURS! I just can’t express how grateful I am to be this lucky to find a cool cafe near the church and also the hotel that I’ll be staying for tonight. I hope every thing will go as smooth until I'm back home. #fingercrossed | Back to Lucky Cat Coffee, I noticed that this area is surrounded with sport centers, and the people who visits here this morning were mostly wearing sports wear. Maybe because today is sunday as well.

When I opened the door, there was a brick wall standing right in front of me, I turned left and took the seat right next to the window near the front door. And when I started to look around, my jaw dropped, literally. I really didn't expect that the place would be SO PRETTY! I put down all of my belongings, grabbed my camera and started to take pictures after I made my order at the cashier. But I didn't go all the way up to the second floor, because I had to keep my eye on my backpack and my luggage on my table.

Lucky Cat Coffee design interior is very rustic, and the tone is very warm. Everything were mostly made from wood, and there was even a real big tree inside! It felt like I was inside a glass house and that tree is literally growing out of this house. The place is really cozy, and if I can compare it with a cafe in Surabaya, Lucky Cat Coffee reminds me of Antler Cabin a little bit. Though Lucky Cat Coffee is way much better in many ways, lol.

The menu in Lucky Cat Coffee is very simple, just one page of food menu that doesn't contain more than 15 dishes, and they don't even have a physical menu for their beverages, as they wrote it down on the blackboard behind the cashier. As for the price, it's a little bit on the higher side, where the average price for the light snack is 45k, and 65k for the main course. Whereas for the drinks, they bundled it for 35k on average.

I ordered this Breakfast Set (65k) together with an Orange Juice (35k) for my first visit in Lucky Cat Coffee. The Breakfast set was SO GOOD! It contains two big beef sausages, a 3/4 cooked scrambled egg, roasted tomato, mashed potato, and purple cabbages. They cooked everything with dry herbs that unfortunately I couldn't mention, as my knowledge about herbs is very minimal, but that what makes it taste different yet so good! And the orange juice was fresh, not to sweet and a very generous amount of pulp.

Overall, I would give Lucky Cat Coffee 9/10
I SUPER LOVE the atmosphere in Lucky Cat Coffee. It's super chill and relaxing. The place is really cozy. The waiter and the waitresses were cool and helpful, though it will be better if they can be more friendly, haha.. The foods was amazing and last but not least, it's very photogenic and instagram-able. lol.
